But Uber isn’t giving up hope. In fact, it’s expanding its reach in Puerto Rico. The company launched a pilot program in January allowing passengers to hail rides via the app in the capital city of San Juan. Now, Uber is making the service available across the entire island.

If you’re headed to the airport, there’s no way around paying a little extra. A trip from Ocean Park to the airport costs about $10.00.
3. There are different types of fares.
There are three main types of fare options. First, there is the “base fare.” This is what you see listed on the app. Next, there is the “surge fare,” which is the price during peak hours.
